 Caregiver Qualifications and Support Approach

At A New Beginning Home Care, we are dedicated to delivering high-quality, person-centered care through a team of compassionate and experienced caregivers. Our approach prioritizes the physical, emotional, and mental well-being of every individual we serve. Payrate for DSPs starts at $23 an hour.

Caregiver Training and Standards
All caregivers undergo comprehensive onboarding and receive ongoing training to ensure they meet and exceed industry standards. This continuous education equips our staff to provide consistent, professional, and empathetic care tailored to each client's unique needs. All caregivers are eligible for paid training after 90 days of employment.

Inclusion of Natural Supports
In alignment with our commitment to individualized care, we encourage the involvement of trusted individuals in the client's life. Family members, close relatives, and dependable friends may be onboarded as caregivers to promote familiarity and continuity of care. Payrate for these DSPs starts at $24 an hour.

Parent as Caregiver Policy
Parents may be eligible to provide care to their own child under the following conditions:

• The individual receiving services is 18 years of age or older
   
• The individual is already approved for Medicaid-funded services
   

This policy ensures that clients can benefit from the trusted support of their own family while maintaining compliance with program requirements. Payrate for parents start at $24-$25 an hour.

Personalized Care Planning

At A New Beginning Home Care, we recognize that each client has unique needs, goals, and preferences. To ensure the highest quality of support, we develop individualized care plans tailored specifically to each client. These plans include:

• Emergency Plan – Outlines procedures to ensure client safety in the event of an emergency. Providers will practice with their clients every quarter.
   
• Risk Mitigation/Protocol Plan – Identifies potential risks and outlines strategies to minimize them, in accordance with the client’s Individual Support Plan (ISP).
   
• Action Plan – Focuses on targeted goals identified in the client’s ISP and outlines steps to support achievement.
   

All care planning documents are reviewed and sent to the client's family and caseworker for approval prior to implementation.

 A New Beginning Home Care provides individualized, one-on-one attendant care services within the private residences of our clients. We employ qualified care providers who deliver a range of support services tailored to each individual’s needs, including assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs). 

 Two-to-One (2:1) Attendant Care Services

A New Beginning Home Care offers Two-to-One (2:1) Attendant Care Services for eligible clients. This service model allows a single staff member to provide support to two individuals simultaneously, while ensuring that the quality of care and individual needs of each client are met. 

 Community Living Support (CLS) Services
A New Beginning Home Care holds a CLS (Community Living Support) endorsement, which authorizes our staff to provide a variety of community-based opportunities for the individuals we serve. These services include participation in local events and programs, grocery shopping, and engaging in outdoor recreational activities such as visiting parks, going on hikes, and more.

We strongly believe in the value of community integration and understand the positive impact that enjoyable, out-of-home experiences have on the well-being of our clients.

 A New Beginning Home Care offers Relief Care as a supportive service for the family members and relatives of our valued clients. This service is designed to provide temporary care and relief to primary caregivers.

Relief Care shifts are a minimum of 16 hours and may extend up to 24 hours in duration.

Our agency provides compensation for this service at a flat rate of $212 per shift.
